Procedure To Apply For Single Entry Business Visa In Indonesia

Please note that Single Entry Business Visa will be automatically revoked once the visa holder has left or departed from Indonesian territory, even when validity period have not expired yet.

Visit Visa is provided for foreigners who want to attend Indonesia for official governmental travel, education, social culture, tourism, business activity, family, journalism or transit purpose (please see Article 38 of Law No. 6 of 2011 regarding Immigration (Law No. 6/2011).

Visit Visa for business purpose or Business Visa is provided for Foreigner who want to go to Indonesia for:

  1. conducting business meeting or negotiation
  2. conducting field inspection
  3. conducting business activity which doesn’t involve hiring employment or receiving any payment including attending seminar or conference.

There are 2 (two) types of Business Visa according to Article 89 of Government Regulation No. 31 of 2013 regarding Technical Instruction on Immigration Law (PP 31/2013), which are Single Entry Business Visa and Multiple Visit Business Visa.

Single Entry Business Visa is applied to maximum 60 (sixty) day length of stay and could be extended 4 (four) times with maximum 30 (thirty) day length of stay for each extension given.

Please note that Single Entry Business Visa will be automatically revoked once the visa holder has left or departed from Indonesian territory, even when validity period have not expired yet.

Business Visa application could be submitted by foreigners to the Indonesian Embassy or Diplomatic Consular by attaching assignment and supporting letter from their company or firm and a confirmation letter from Indonesian business counterpart in Indonesia or it could also submitted by the Indonesian business counterpart as a sponsor or guarantor trough Directorate of Immigration with attaching their company legality document, foreigner’s passport with minimum 6 (six) months validity and representation letter as a sponsor or guarantor for foreigner personal conduct during their stay here in Indonesia.
